Junior High Wilderness: Grades 7 - 9
Dates: June 23-28
Deans: Andy Clark
Location & Description:
We hope you’ll join us for an awesome week in some of the best wilderness east of the Mississippi! We’ll spend two nights in back-country shelters, hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We’ll see one of the largest tracts of old growth forest in the eastern U.S., with giant trees that have a circumference of up to 20 feet! We’ll drive across the Cherohala Skyway, regularly listed as one of the top 10 scenic drives in the U.S. And we’ll go fun-yaking (yes, it’s a thing; safer than kayaking and more fun than canoeing) down the Hiwasee River. And along the way we’ll talk about Tabernacle, the camp’s theme of Jesus setting up His tent among us. What a week!
Limit 12 campers.
