3-13-23 - Monday
The photo tells the story. It was a good day. The surgeon told her to eat what she wanted to eat so we stopped for eggs and a biscuit. She was hungry and enjoyed it. She will continue to ease into foods slowly.
We drove to Chicago for an appointment with the surgeon. We continue to take this emotional journey that comes and goes in waves. We are really glad to be together in this. We talked the whole 3 hours north.
Today Pamie got the staples out. The surgeon recommended us to an oncologist who we see on Wednesday and he talked about options; we will have lots of questions as we seek to determine the next steps.
Our next appointment in Chicago is in July for a follow-up.
