Description:

In a culture that is hostile towards biblical masculinity and leadership, the responsibility of Christian men to lead and disciple their family and friends is becoming increasingly difficult. This one-day conference will encourage you to stay the course and not back down to the challenges we face today as Christian men.  Not only will you be encouraged by the fellowship, workshops, and conference speakers, but you will have the opportunity to join a legacy movement. This conference is just the beginning.

Keynote Speaker: Troy Bendickson

Troy Bendickson is the son of a minister, growing up in the faith in Nebraska.  He attended Harding University, a private Christian liberal arts school in Arkansas, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Music Education, a minor in Vocational Ministry, and a Masters in Education in Secondary Administration.  Troy and his wife, Tammy, moved to Atlanta, GA after college for Troy to pursue a career in education.  In his 15 years at Greater Atlanta Christian School, Troy served in many roles, including Elementary Music Teacher, Assistant Varsity Men’s Soccer Coach, Drum Line Director, JH Chorus Director, High School Choir Director, and Varsity Women’s Soccer Coach for 12 of those years. Troy’s final role was that of Assistant High School Principal for 9 years, and director of chapel services and worship.

Troy and Tammy have been married for 27 years and have 6 kids. Troy’s Legacy story begins with his dad. In 2014, his father, David Bendickson, passed away unexpectedly shortly after starting a ministry called Heart Shot Ministry.  Troy felt called to “be about his father’s business,” so he resigned everything, and the family moved to the Quad Cities to see what God wanted from Heart Shot Ministry.  Heart Shot Ministry is now a 501(c)3, serving the Quad Cities through two archery ranges, and traveling to 8 different states to date, where archery simply serves as a tool to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
